Unbearably frail
abstract fragments wont collapse -
they are magnetic.

i've never had to navigate in boston.
i'm not much of a navigator.
perhaps that is why little ol' denver baffles me sometimes.

still working on the riddle, damn you!

i know what you mean a/b yoga.
i'm one of those people who says "i'm too tired to go to yoga".
"but i know i'll feel better if i go".
"but i'm so tired, i'll go later in the week".
etc, etc, etc.
i do go once a week though. but i every week i say i'm going to go more b/c i love it so much.
but i also need to get my running in and i just can't seem to manage as much yoga as i would like.

how's photography class go ing?
female_trouble:
hi! just got back from boston today, was visiting with my friend phil from the photo dept. are you gonna get some of your work uploaded? i hear ya on gettin burnt out on art, i didnt do anything for a while and then i got really into abstract painting.. now just of recently, like this past month i'm getting back into more representational painting and drawing and revisiting things i started way back when... alot of female figure studies. i had done some sketches a few years ago while i was going through this phase of watching alot of john waters films, and i was drawing 300 pound sex symbols with cigarettes leaning up against a corvette or bending over in a suggestive way, and i'm very excited to have the motivation to bring them to fruition! smile

Awake, eight hours -
suspended beneath panic.
Asleep, four minutes -
soft cold rolls across the floor.
Suddenly the whole world shifts.

One marked as sterile,
dressed in plastic reflection.
Six marked as septic,
repulsive in their spoil.
One remnant stays unnoticed.

Woke up late this morning - super rush blur through morning routine - run for the bus - mad dash to 1st class - 8:59, against all odds, I make it there on time - sorry that class was canceled.

you awaken to find a note on your pillow....it reads-

"I was a 1998 graduate of MCA, Art ed had landed me a few nifty summer jobs, but I was unwilling to commit to taking test after test after unpaid Student teaching assignment. I went on a walkabout to canada for a few weeks alone, just me a tent and a few good books (some walt whitman, a little Robert anton wilson, and some blank ones too...)and decided that I was not ready or willing (the latter being of more importance, I could learn to be ready...)I had a stupendous situation awaiting me upon my arrival home...a 1500 sq. foot studio loft space in a mostly unoccupied industrial building. it was...irresistable. so what if it was in beverly? it was ONLY $350.00 A MONTH!!!!!! well, five years later I now live in a run down apartment with my best(girl) friend ( also a Massart grad. In illustration. 1999. ibet you know her) . Now that I'm done writing this horrendously long note, I'll just go and raid your fridge, re-arrange your furniture and change all your speed dial #'s. "

A tanka for today:

Some are forced to sink,
salt-soaked, greased, and cumbersome.
Some will drift away,
they will float up in your skin,
distorted without a leash.

My photo classes start tomorrow. No days off for 3 1/2 weeks. Ack. blackeyed Looking forward to it, though.

Funny you would start the 4our. When I wrote m'journal entry, the first line reminded me of pestilence.
But where do we go next... we've had our se7en... embarked the 4our... Perhaps a demented set of 10? wink

Festering wounds
Taste the flesh
Give into dementia
Feed from Pestilence

Ooo.. good luck, and upload some of your stuff!

the trick to stunt manuvers in big wheels was not to sit stand on the set and ride it like a scooter, it made it easier to shift your weight for the spin out brake pull and when you landed jump you didn't bust your assbiggrin

Iron ghost wanders.
Joyous shades rise to vanish -
changing shape within.

Sitting with silence,
doors barred with spoken demons -
immobile golem.

My mouth fills with ash,
I prefer to say nothing -
I cant make a sound.

b4byl0n:
She looks to your voyeuristic eyes as they emerge from behind the purdah. Her pale partially clothed body lay upon a bed of finest silk, the color of rich mahogany. From underneath coils of raven locks her angelic features emerge. Full lips of crimson contrasting to the alabaster skin tone, her delicate jaw giving way to her slender neck from which the quoted sound of sensuality slips.

"I am over-run, jungled in my bed, I am infested with a menagerie of desires: my heart is eaten by a dove, a cat scrambles in the cave of my sex, hounds in my bed obey a whipmaster who cries nothing but havoc as the hours test my endurance with an accumulation of tortures. Who, if I cried, would hear me among the angelic orders?"

I adore the symmetry in that, and its thoughtfulness -- or its requirement for thought.

Also, thanks for the saying the most insightful thing I've heard about my writing in a long time. smile

All of my illusions fold that way. Then they fall apart.

Darkness is distant -
a low wind releases breath,
clouds coil tightly.

Dreams of a red land,
Shadows fall across closed eyes,
cloud roots fill the sky.

A tree limb shudders -
pure nebulous surrender,
gravity torrent.
stickyrice:
Coiled clouds and then a gravity torrent ... this sounds like a poem about falling asleep, or that moment just before. I may be wrong ... but I like it! smile

Bafflement. Confusion. Utter and complete Bizarro-world. My secret roommate crush has in less than two days turned into my not-so-secret girlfriend. Methinks that this will end badly, but I can't help it - she's

my interest piqued and my head spinning smile
2) incredibly hot love
3) incredibly talented in other areas not to be named
here. confused
