Ok it's ranting time. Everyone who wants to read something pleasant and non-offense please look elsewhere because I need to get something off my chest.
Why, oh why, in the hell is Evolution still controversial!?!? I'm getting pretty pissed off that everyone thinks that evolution is some dissmissable, half-baked, idea that a bunch of atheists made up in order to make God cry. It's a Scientific field theory. the key word there is "SCIENTIFIC" its based on science! It's not something you pull out of your ass to explain things! It is the best explanation human beings have for why we are what we are and where we (as well as every other living thing) came from. Somehow, Modern society has actually developed a defense to the reasonable. People are going out of their way to distance themselves from evolution!
I recently heard a girl say "Well, i'm not an atheist. I don't believe we came from monkey's or anything." EXCUSE ME!? I might be agnostic but that offends every bit of my spiritual belief. Someone telling me that since I believe in evolution I must not have faith or a God. WTF is that!? Here let me break it down. There is NO OTHER scientific field theory that naturally explains where modern living creatures originate from. None. Thats it. You either believe in evolution or you believe in creationism. Being A creationist means you believe that God or another supernatural being put the living things on this planet. And if God did that then he also fabricated dinosaur fossils, Individually picks out species for extinction, and made Earth the only planet in the universe with life.
Im sick of the the motherfuckers who think they can sidestep hundreds of years of natural sciences. "well I don't believe in evolution, I think we just haven't figured everything out yet" oh really? So you're saying that science is full of shit and every researcher who has busted their ass to learn about natural selection and adaptation is an idiot, because you know better than them and they're wrong. They just need to work harder to figure everything out. thats nice. Except that you don't have an answer. If you're going to tell someone they're wrong you had better have an answer.
I believe in evolution and that has absolutely no impact on my faith and it shouldn't have an impact on anyone else's. The catholic church once believed the Earth was the center of the universe. Turns out they were wrong. That did not change their belief in a God. So why is it that when I meet a Christian SCIENCE teacher she starts to brag about how her kids know better than to believe in evolution.
yeah thats right. Be proud that your children have been so indoctrinated with your misbegotten interpretation of a 2,000 year old book that they can no longer tell what makes sense. While you're at it, tell them that the Earth is flat, and Apollo carries the sun in the back of his chariot.
There's actually a creationist museum now. Now, if a person choose faith over science and believe that God does everything, thats their problem. I disagree with them but that is nothing next to having an entire museum dedicated to religious beliefs that masquerade as science. The creationist museum is about as pointless and offensive as an atheist church. For those of you who think i'm overreacting to the whole creationist museum thing, their dinosaur exhibit has a brontosaurus with a saddle. a fucking saddled brontosaurus. apparently Creationist believe that early humans were the Flintstones.
When a creationist dies and goes to heaven they are greeted by mild mannered and some what eldery bearded chap. And as they approach the man saying "Oh, it's St. Pete"r or "It's God", he will ninja kick them in their face, screaming "I"M CHARLES DARWIN BITCH!!!!"
