No post last week cos I was in London at an Angel convention. Yeah yeah, I know wehat you're thinking - sad sci-fi/fantasy fans all gathered in a hotel, how pathetic Whyu bother going?' To which my answer is Alcohol and girls in skimpy costumes!! But also my fellow geek friends, and also meeting lots of American actors who are always stunned at a) how much UK fans like them, and b) how crazy and drink-fuelled we are. I did a big report on this in another journal so if you want details, ask and I'll tell you the url for that.
Had two job interviews too - one I think I sadly fucked up which is a shame cos I really wanted that job. The other I've no idea about so I might make it through to the next round or I might not. My problem really is confidence - I can do *likeable* but does anyone rally trust me enough to hire me? (sigh) I'm such a geek, I wish I was still at university or being *paid* to spout off drivel like this.

See, you should never hesitate to be yourself, even within an alternative style. For example, I consider myself a Goth, but I'm one of the cheeriest Goths you'll ever find. I have my dark side, I acknowledge it, but I see no reason to escape mainstream fashion, etc only to submit to a different one. Some people march to their own drummer. I've got a damned parade.
