Hello SG how's everybody been? i've had a mental weekend away in the Midlands but it's good to come back to see some beautiful new chicks up!
i have to admit i am exhausted from my adventures the past few days, i think i have done myself some actual damage, although plenty of fun was had along the way so i shall tell you all about it
the coach back to Leicester was lonnnng on Thursday, and i only realised when i got on it that i'd forgotten my keys - i knew my dad was at Salsa til later so i went to my friend Summer's across the road and watched her change about 4 times getting ready to go out! eventually managed to drop my stuff at mine and borrow a key, then headed into town to meet friends in a bar - got there and my bestest buddiest starfish Annwen was absolutely wasted - her and my friend Joe Hubbard (who was also pretty drunk) ended up having a lapdance-off on me, and all i could do was laugh because Hubbard thought he was winning but he was really just sitting on my lap and wiggling, whereas Annwen was actually giving me a drunken but very sexy lapdance! i wish someone had taken a picture of that, it was bare jokes!
eventually everyone was getting too drunk and the bar closed, and i went to see anoter mate who'd been up for about two days somehow, and stayed chatting bollocks and listening to crazy dub with some of his mates til about four in the morning
on my walk home, which took me up to about five in the morning, i literally had my house in view, i could see my door when i saw another friend across the road that i hadn't seen in a while, and apparently he'd moved in pretty much opposite me, so i went there and got high and beat his mate twice on some playsation boxing game and then had a good few close rounds of Soul Calibur IV but only won with Tira!
eventually got home and fell asleep to an Alan Partridge video around 7 to 8o'clock, then got up at 11 so i had time to go see my old antique shop boss before meeting my friend out of college at 2o'clock. it was nice to catch up, he'd been making some sculptures and stuff and the parrot was gone - he gave me the old mug i always used to have my tea in
then i met my mate Tom at 2 and we went back to his house and got really high with the dog of the bassist of Beautiful South - he's called Hootch and he is my new friend we went to pick up lucy d around 8ish and dropped in on some more friends, then got a lift back to Tom's with Scott to get even more high watching Zeitgeist - i do not remember all of it, particularly as i struggled to read most of the captions in my stoned state, but it has scared me a little and really made me think about a lot of things - i recommend watching it to everybody ... i think even if you don't agree with all of it it will change your views and perception on life a little
Saturday i got woken up with a spliff around 10, and we get ready to go on a million marijuana march, to protest in favour of legalising cannabis, which was to be a march from Victoria Park in Leicester down to and through the city centre, meeting around 11 and marching at 12o'clock. we all took long and got there around 12 and there was hardly anyone, just 3 small groups sitting on the grass with a ganja leaf flag and some bongos they weren't playing and stuff. me, Tom, Scott and our mate Max decided to sit by the pond a little way away 'cos there were a few Po-Po Officers lining the path near the group, and as we were skinning up a few more of our friends and some strangers congregated by our group next to the pond. then me and Tom got trippin' and we all got pretty high. we walked back over to the other group and sat down with some people we recognised, there were more people than before but still not many - typical stoners though!
i started getting all hippy and putting daisies in my hair (i already had pheasant feathers in) and luckily the sun was coming out and the sky was looking like and oil painting and the grass was rippling and shimmering, i felt like i could see the bark growing on the trees and all of nature was revealed to me in a new light, a beautiful blend of colours that breathed and glowed in a way of their own. after staring at the sky for a long time, i remember what happened in a series of strange stages as follows :
there was a big white wolf, it looked like the Milky Bar Wolf
we started marching at around 3o'clock, i was at the front holding one end of the banner
we followed the Po-Po down the road to town
my friend Tom fucked off somewhere
someone was taking pictures of us from the front the whole way
we chanted, to the tune of Row Row Row Your Boat - "roll roll roll your spliff, twist it at the end, spark it up and take a drag, pass it to your friend"
when we reacahed the clock tower in the city centre, i feel so fortunate that i saw Scott that we were with earlier and his girlfriend L-Jay, otherwise i would have been left lost and trippin' my nut off in town 'cos Tom was nowhere to be seen. i went with Scott and L-Jay to get her nose pierced and we eventually all met up in Town Hall Square, chilled in the sun for a bit, then me and Tom got the train to Nottingham to go see the King Blues @ Nottingham's Rock City it was an awesome gig, they were supported by Dirty Revolution, Moral Dilemma and Mouthwash, who were all fantastic bands! it was a great show, although Tom left me again for about half an hour and came back saying he'd narrowly avoided being arrested and had been hiding in a bush for ten minutes ... i did not pursue the matter, considering it better not to know
we saw some friends from Leicester at the gig and got the train home, which was also lonnng, and didn't end up back at Tom's until late because we went to see friends on the other side of town first ... we narrowly avoided the rain and were very pleased to go back to a cup of tea and spliff or two or three
plenty of sleep was had and needed, and although we originally woke up around 11 on Sunday morning, a cup of tea and spliff sent us back to sleep until half past three in the afternoon!
getting up was slow and complicated, and the day was spent on the sofa under a duvet watching Withnail & I, Doug Stanhope, What The Bleep Do We Know? and listening to jazz and Grateful Dead
i walked home about 10pm and got home about 11pm, fell asleep to another Alan Partridge video and today has been spent mostly asleep on the coach and ill in bed back in my flat. i am now sitting with a cup of hot honey and lemon and a spliff i'm about to light, listening to ELO's Wild West Hero on repeat and trying not to think about doing my coursework or getting up tomorrow ...
sorry for such a long blog, i expect it's been skimmed by most, which i understand
all the best to everyone though
perhaps share some stories from the weekend?
lots of love
