Ok, last call for the remix disc(s). Several signed up for the good ship DJ Webern.
It's amazing how easy it is to calm me down. It's amazing how reading the liner notes of a cd, reading about the software and people involved on the album gets me out of a funk.
I can get excited just listening to a Dr. H mix. I can also be reduced to tears hearing Aimee Mann sing "One".
Today, I'm going to plug a mixer back into itself along with another who does the same and we'll see what happens. What an attractive thing? Can you imagine showing up to a gig somewhere with two mixers and saying, "where do we set up?" "Set up what??" My new friend Larry Polansky -- Dartmouth professor -- told me of a piece he saw for "reverb unit" a few months back that was simply gorgeous.
I came here with the intention of writing something different...
Oh yeah. Blanktext and I are having a remix contest. Take any Peaches song, fuck it up...and I mean fuck it up...post it somewhere like an MP3.com account -- they're free for the first three songs. Seriously, it will be a fun event. I'm already working on mine.
School stuff: it's all about what I put into it at this point. Nuf said. December will be here soon enough and I don't want to regret the last year.

I love it when things "somehow" work out. I was worried about getting another job to supplement my current anemic work schedule in the lab. A past professor called with an offer to do some work. I was worred because that wouldn't happen for a few weeks, but another guy in the lab needs me to cover four shifts for him. Yay.
