Bonjour to everyone in this wonderful internet universe!
Hello & thank you to @missy & @rambo for this interesting topic!
First I NEED to show you the kid I'll be talking to! This is me (approx) 5 years ago:
Well, dear myself from 5 years ago, here's the thing, baby:
1) Don't try that hard to fit in! Fitting in sucks! Today I've learned people should be tolerant, respectful and accept my every flaw. In case they don't... Push them away! You don't need them, Petite Noir. Such negativity can get you sick, to the point of BELIEVING IN WHAT THEY SAY. Nope.
2) Don't try to grow up fast. Stay the age you are, do things that kids your age do. Go to gigs, eat junk food, ride a bike, study and have fun. You were trying to be an adult too soon! I wish I could go back to having 16 again.
3) Thank you a lot for not taking that plane to the States. I really love Argentina. I've learned to love this city. Buenos Aires at night is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and if I ever have to leave, I'm gonna miss this forever. Sometimes people can disappoint you, sometimes people can make you cry and feel worthless, but that happens worldwide. Imagine yourself like, speaking english 24/7, missing the chance to meet the poetry you fell in love with... Really, thank you.
4) Thank you, again, this time for being strong enough not to quit and going through recovery this well. I'm now happy with my body. Still struggling, of course. But at least you were strong enough to ask for help! (For those who ain't know I'm still in ED recovery!)
5) As yourself in 2017, I want to tell you that you're still that artist every person that loves you is proud of. You're still appreciating smiles, seeing flowers in everyone else's flaws, inspired by your own dreams and the same love lover you have always been. Good news! You've never sold your soul! And guess what... you never will <3
And to all of you reading: This doesn't mean that I regret something. I am very proud of the good and the bad things in my past! Every little thing we do must be part of our inspiration! We must turn the good into smiles and the bad into good, through art. Watch babynoir be the internet kid! (I will write a post explaining the whole Babynoir project soon, are you interested?)
See you in 5 more years?
xoxo,
Babynoir
