I'll be doing a Q&A video over the next few days right before my debut set "Blue Monday" goes into MR and before I fly out to Africa and I thought it would be fun to post a blog with 5 random facts about me.
1. Broken Bones:
I had broken both of my arms before I was 10years old but when I was 13 I broke a bone in my leg. Cleaning my room out today I found some old X-Rays. Now don't laugh at me but when I was younger I used to skip- no not 'girly skipping' like through a field.....I'm talking jump rope with tricks/push up's/flips etc...... Seriously YOUTUBE "National jump rope competition" That's what I used to do as an early teen.
Which also explains how the constant jumping broke away part of my leg. Here's my leg post op with the shiny little pin that is holding a part of my bone in place.
2. First Books That Had Me Hooked On Reading:
Deltora Quest was the very first book series that I ever read and actually got hooked on! It was the series that captured me from the beginning and opened my eyes to the world of fantasy and fantasy writing. The author Emily Rodda is another amazing Aussie gal who has captured the hearts of so many with this fantastic series. The books follow the adventures of three companions as they journey across the fictitious land of Deltora, endeavoring to recover the magical Belt of Deltora and defeat allies of the evil Shadow Lord.
These books without a doubt had me writing my own little stories and even later helped me find other amazing Aussie authors like Kelley Armstrong- (one of my all time favorites) whose books have just been turned into a TV series.
Forever reading and dabbling in writing <3 <3
3. Learning To Drive At 11:
As i've stated in previous blogs and posts I spent a lot of time in Tamworth growing up- spending pretty much every school holidays out there :) My grandfather- the most amazing man in my life taught me so many things, along with how to ride a motorbike and how to ride a horse he also taught me how to drive a car. Living on 1500 acres of land he bought a shitty little shell of a car which consisted of 4 wheels, car body and the engine for all his grand-kids to learn to drive in. Meet my little paddock basher haha.
4. Was A Redhead For 7 Years!!
I've had a few different hairstyles and hair colours over the years but the longest time i've spent was being a red head. I mean, who doesn't love a red head!! I had the best time and often miss it.
I don't miss the colour fading or the dye being the wrong shade and going a warped pink that one time haha
5. Dabble In Photography:
I've been dabbling in photography and photoshop/photo manipulation for years but it wasn't until I was in my late teens that I bought myself a proper SLR and actually spent some time taking photos. I'm all self taught which is awesome but also at times quite hard so it's been helpful to have so many amazing friends and family that let me use them as models/ guinea pigs to practice my skills on :)
I've also had the pleasure of shooting two weddings, a pregnancy shoot and then later the baby's photos! Here's some behind the scenes photos :) <3
Don't forget Q&A video is coming for you guys. My question to all of you is: What questions would you like me to answer? Drop your question in the comments below and I shall do my best to answer them all soon:)
