Oh, you're ALL comedians! And unoriginal ones! I wanted this post to come with a new profile picture, but bad hair cuts happen even to the best of us. I thought about doing something even more drastic and dying it red or something... you know, that whole two wrongs trying to make a right kinda thing. My family staged an intervention to tell me I should not be allowed to own scissors, let alone cut my own hair. So, no new profile picture, but at least my post count hit 8,000. 
I badly need to come up with the perfect birthday gift for my best friend; you all remember CaseLogic, right? It has to be some radtacular, and personal. In fact, I need to come up with something fairly soon. For my birthday, he got me the box set of the entire Monkees show on dvd, and sent to Jacqueline Carey, author of my favorite trilogy (which I'm halfway through for the fifth time), who sent me all kinds of signed stuff, not to mention Kushiel's Dart temporary tattoos. How do I beat that?
Hittin' a Cirque du Soleil for my mom's birthday this weekend, and then an SFAI event in Dallas on Sunday. Honestly... though I may strongly consider a summer in San Fransisco or something, it's really not very likely that I'll completely move out there. But that's a completely different story... anyway, I'm breaking into the part of my closet I haven't seen in over a year; dresses, eww! I finally determined that I couldn't get by with only one pair of shoes, thanks to these semiformal events I'm required to attend, and no longer own only hiking boots. Shame.
Anyway. It wouldn't really be a journal entry without this:

-I cut my own hair for 4 years, and only messed it up once. 2 weeks ago I decided to go out and pay for one. It was terrible. I fixed it up myself at home. lesson learned.
