Saturday night: Vietnamese food, conversation, tango dancing, flirting, somewhat more personal conversation, "I'm not that kind of girl," drive home. Still, I got to hold her close, dance, and smell her hair. And she said yes to a second date.
I'm a little concerned about my taste in women. I'm starting to notice a number of patterns, one of which is that I tend to go for girls who are aloof and guarded. So here I am, pursuing a girl pretty much on the assumption that she will, in time, open up a little. Because if she doesn't then I will be in a relationship (AGAIN) with a woman who doesn't actually act like she likes me.
On further thought, I think that is just the insecurity talking. She likes me fine. And she smells nice. And she hadn't been on a date in three-and-a-half years, so a little reserve is understandable.
