So the last few weeks have been tough. My wife was having problems with what the doctors thought was an ovarian cyst. There was one, but while in there, they found an odd little thumb print sized lump. Turns out it was cancer. I'm not sure if it technically ovarian cancer or not, but in any case she ended having a hysterectomy as well as ovaries, tubes and some lymph nodes removed. And she starts chemo this week.
It's scary to think that my wife of almost 15 years might not survive to reach our 20 anniversary. But the doctor is optimistic so I continue to be as well. Taking the attitude that this is a speed bump and nothing more. I guess we'll see.

Heavy stuff when your near and dear is ailing like that. Sometimes that hardest thing is to keep it light. I hope you both find ways to stay positive and that she comes through it all just fine.
