I am so sore. Holy Hell.
It was "Finish yard work day" at my house today. And we are not talking raking or mowing. So that you'll know I'm not just bitching, I have a photo.
This is a fountain set in a rock path. So I dug a hole, created this fountain for my wife out of her grandfather's grindstone. And made a path to surround it. There are 42 half cubic foot bags of rock here. Each of them weigh about 50 pounds. And each of them were purchased today and loaded onto a cart, into the van, out of the van, and carried to the back yard before being dumped into place. That's why I'm sore. But damn. It looks nice.
Speaking of that. I also put the finishing touches on the other yard project. I have a few more photos of that.
This was before.
This was after. Laid the walkway myself.
So now I reward myself with a nice glass of Evan Williams Single Barrel (2001). I can feel the pain leaving already.

ha! Yeah, might have been a bit extreme over reaction to not being able to grow a lawn. worth it though. now that it's done.
