Wow it been a while! Not that anybody probably reads the crap I post here anyway!
Why has it been so long? Well I've been part crazy busy and part lazy.
So whats been happening in the world of me? Where do I start?
Well I've got a new job which I start next monday. It's a hell of a lot closer to home, more money and working for a company who do online games. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect job! It's still doing web development but hopefully I'll get to work closely on the actual games side of things.
My band - Giant Root Attack (www.myspace.com/giantrootattack) got asked to play at Hawkfest which is the festival of the legendary band, Hawkwind. It was the weekend before last and despite the crappy weather we had a ball and met some great people and saw some great bands. My personal favourite being Tits of Death!
The weekend just gone? Well I got married! my new wife and I have now been together 10 years as of the 21st June and we got married last saturday - the 23rd June. It feels weird. I now have a wife as apposed to a girlfriend! The wedding was great. Obviously there was a lot of stress in the planning, but the day itself went great bar a few minor hickups. Everyone else seemed to have a great day too which is a bonus.
On a minor note I also passed my motorbike theory test last week so I now on the road (sorry for the bad pun!) to finally ditching my L-plates! Hopefully my practical test will go as well as the practical and I can buy a new, bigger bike
And last but not least, one of my all time favourite bands -Echo and the Bunnymen - have been announced as the headliners of a festival in my home town of St. Helens! Not only that but my own band - Giant Root Attack - are playing too! I still can't believe it!
Right ... time for bed me thinks.
Take it easy chickens! x
