Changed my alias again. I'm always about new identities. Discovering (or, as in this case, rediscovering) a part of you is highly recommended if you're feeling trapped and suffocated.
This time (hopefully the final time, or I'll just start confusing people) I was thinking about my favorite book ever, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli.
If you haven't read it, you should. It's not an impressive coffee table book by any means, it's probably middle school level. But Stargirl's story is remarkable. At least, remarkable enough to me to get her tattooed on my arm and make an attempt at emulating her compassion and zest for life. In the book, she is described as,
"She was illusive. She was today. She was tomorrow. She was the faintest scent of a cactus flower, the flitting shadow of an elf owl. We did not know what to make of her. In our minds we tried to pin her to a corkboard like a butterfly, but the pin merely went through and away she flew."
I would give anything for even a small part of me to fit that description.
And, not to mention, Stargirl even says this of her name: "Im not my name. My name is something I wear, like a shirt. It gets worn. I outgrow it, I change it."
So. Yep. There that is. Haha.

It tastes better than it sounds, I assure you. And I do feel much better, now. Thank you. It just took some food and tons of water.
