And another thing.
In this episode of the X-Files, one of the conspirators gets shot brutally, just bang and he's left to die. Then you watch him ever so heroically pull himself into Mulder's office and write out a message in blood on the floor.
You have to wonder, in that moment, what drives a person to do that? Is it the burning desire to be avenged? The driving need or even last heroic need to get a final important message across? Do they believe in their cause so much? Sheer animal instinct, their last need becomes their last thought becomes some sort of last impulse for immortality? Or is it just sheer cussedness, a sort of "Shoot me will you, well I'll show you. I'll bring your little ship down with me, damn it!"
And I would like to believe with me it would be a last heroic impulse--hells, I'd like to believe that of anybody. But if I had to be perfectly honest...ah hells yeah, cussedness all the way, baby!!
What about if it were you? Why do you think they do it? What would you do?

well there is a pretty good chance that i'll have my glock on me, so if i get shot or shot at, i believe that i'll be able to get a couple of rounds off, if not the whole mag.. it's the X-files anything can happen, but the character could have had so much adrenaline pumping through its vains that being shot only slows him down. i mean people all around have heard of sudden heroic acts performed by parents when their children are in danger and that's mainly made possible by that huge rush of adrenaline and stuff..
