65-70lbs lost and still losing.

In other news, I received a 3.5 GPA for the semester which is pretty unheard of for my lazy ass. I kicked major ass in creative writing. And now I'm sitting at home bored out of my fucking mind during my holiday break. I hope to see some good movies or something. Hm... I might watch the biopic...

Currently:

58lbs thinner than I was in December.
Looking to redefine my look.
Excited about future weight loss milestones.
Blastin' dat new Kanye shit.

Update:
Kanye West samples Steely Dan on his new record. Seriously, say what you want about him, but that's fucking awesome.

Word on the street is that I've been working on a new writing en devour for two really classy dudes. Well, talk is cheap.

Music, however, is a bit more expensive. Really expensive actually. Quite frankly, the odds of us being able to license any music for this thing (it's a TV show) are slim to none. I'm still trying to figure...

Hey, how are you holding up with your goals getting into better shape. I have no will power and have not been very good with my eating habits and portions.

Arcade Fire was amazing last night. It felt like church for people who don't go to church. I damn near cried during "Windowsill." Sure, maybe I'm a pussy, but it was a fantastic show. Easily one of the best I've ever been to.

There hasn't been much to report sine I've returned home from Purdue. I'm still holding at about 35-40lbs lost and I'm keeping it off fairly well despite not always having the healthiest choices around the house.

Also, I just joined a local gym and I plan to go at least four days a week. If anyone can suggest a good routine...

There isn't much to report on this end. I'm down 25 pounds since I started working out and I hope to be down 30 before the end of this month. I'm doing my best to be enthusiastic about those results, but often I can only think about how much further I have to go. Still, I'm pretty hopeful. I plan to...

You made a lot of progress towards your goals. Be proud and avoid dwelling on the future. You can only prepare for it and do your best. Even then, life throws you a curve or two. It is the people who can adopt and improvise at those moments that survive with some sanity intact.

Well, I'm back at school after a fairly relaxing spring break. I have to head to class right now, but I'll return with tales of suburban boredom and excess a bit later. You won't want to miss it.

Update

There's not much to be said for my spring break. I didn't travel, didn't soak up the sun in Cancun...

I did the slim fast thing years ago. Please make sure to drink more water than you usually do. Try doing it the opposite. Shake for breakfast, eat lunch and shake for dinner, if it does not mess with your ability to work out. I dropped 40 pounds in a month ,but all I had was a huge salad for lunch and I was constantly running around the hospital I worked at delivering x-rays. That slim fast screws with your intestines to so please be careful.

I wasn't sure how long I planned on keeping it up. I just kind of wanted to tame my stomach during break. I'm going to try stopping it and just managing my calorie intake. Thanks for the advice!

I haven't even been back a week and I already feel the need to update this thing on a semi-daily basis. The truth is, however, I don't really have much to talk about. Oh well, it's still pertinent to pretend that other people care to read about your life. Then again, some of them actually do.

I met some really great people...

Someone once mentioned to me that blogs are for anything you want to write about. Mine are not that exciting to read . I lead a bland working adult life. In my current blog I wrote about shoveling, the dog upstairs and the squirrel that taunts me religiously. I used to almost panic over doing a blog. Now, it does not bother me if I update it frequently.

I never gave much thought to a career. I am not sure anything is stable employment these days. I am fortunate to love my job and work environment plus I am also on my own with no supervision all day. That is a major perk, and having an actual room instead of a cubicle. I actually look forward to going in everyday.

Things will fall into place for you. Have faith in yourself. I am not even remotely close to doing what I went to college for.
