I never read the books, but I have seen the movies (including the old one!) The new movies by Denis Villeneuve are really beautifully shot cinematic masterpieces. The costume design, sets, locations, sound design, and sound track are incredibly powerful. I find myself re-watching them and gathering screen grabs to reference later on for photoshoots or videos. I first read them in college (38 years ago 🤦♂️) during a blizzard shutdown, stuck in our ratty apartment above a fish shop. There may have been a large quantity of hashish involved.. It was memorable! I’ve enjoyed the Villeneuve movies so far!
