Who else loves dragonflies? I must admit they are among my favorite insects, and I'm fascinated by the way they hover and dart around. And then there's Evinrude, a minor yet beloved character from Disney's The Rescuers.
Today, as I was walking through a busy (and drug dealer infested) Berlin park, scanning the ground for coins as usual, I happened to see the unusual sight of a fairly large dragonfly lying flat on its back, smack in the middle of the path. I knelt down, extended a finger so that it could hold on to it, then gently lifted it up. As I couldn't very well leave it in the path, I set it down on top of a hedge, then quickly ventured into @arroia territory and took a photo - doesn't it look as if it's smiling? Maybe just a trick of the eye. And then, in a second, it took off.
So, I like to think that was my one tiny good deed of the day - and certainly a highlight of my day ;-)
