Spent a pleasant half-a-day recently at the fairly new Museum Barberini in Potsdam, a showcase for modern art financed by SAP co-founder and well-known (in Germany, that is) billionaire Hasso Plattner. Bill Gates showed up when the museum was opened a year or so ago.
So, here are a few impressions of lovely downtown Potsdam and a few images of the art on display; currently mostly works by Germany's best-known (and most highly paid) artist, Gerhard Richter, one of them an installation of glass panes.
And with that, I'm off like the proverbial prom dress, for two weeks of vacation in Italy!
