Whew, how quickly 2 weeks pass! I hope the SG world has managed to get by without my usual lame contributions while I was away on a brief vacay to the pastoral and serene North of Germany. Here's a few more or less random piccies:

The giant globe of Gottorf castle, a fascinating 17th century marvel depicting the then-known world on the outside, and the astrological heavens on the inside. Up to 12 not-too-oversized people can get in, and observe the actual movement of the skies and the astrological signs.
Up near the Danish border, Glücksburg Castle, a typical 16th century pile surrounded on three sides by water.
