For those who've been listening, I've griped about the soul-destroying emptiness and frustrations of my job now and then...well, the good news is, that job is about to be history. Yes, I'm getting the axe, probably effective end of July when the whole company is being shuttered. It's been a bad and worried few days (and more or less sleepless nights) since I learned of the impending doom, but I'm getting a handle on it now. In Germany, we have the saying "Lieber ein Ende mit Schrecken als ein Schrecken ohne Ende", meaning better to have something end quickly if painfully than to have the pain drag on indefinitely.
One thing I'm not looking forward to, at my age especially, is prostituting myself in the job market. So I may be seguing over into being self-employed or something like that. I'll also finally set up my own website, that will hopefully produce some smallish revenue. Andhey, more time for looking at SG ;-) (See, there's always a bright side). Over and out.
