Crazy week.
It was good to be home for a few days and to see family and friends, and even better to be back in school. My classes rock and things are good.
I have friends in New Orleans, and life is not so good for them. They were evacuated, but still, things will not be the same. For everyone else still there, it seems even worse. Meanwhile nearly 1000 people get trampled in Iraq.
Under the shadow of those things, it's hard to be too jovial, I more or less just feel lucky. Not in a cocky way, just luck of the draw I wasn't born someone else. this kinda shit tends to reaffirm what I am doing with my life. The world has problems, and only a small minority really truly give a fuck.
