So ya, Thanksgiving has come and gone. Food was good, as was the many nights of drinking with high school and college friends back home. I could have done without nearly getting jumped by several very angry gangsters after *they* nearly crashed into my car while I was stopped at a red light. Oh, and for anyone who may happen to think I am stereotyping,...

Life is pretty good these days. I am still a poor student, but it's not such a bad thing. For one, it roots out all the gold diggers post haste. the semester is winding down, and my least favorite time of year, the holidays is steadily approaching. It'll be good to see the family I guess. Plus, the girl I am in love with might...

What few people I did talk to on here seem to be disinterested, bummer.

Not much interesting happening anyway. School is good, girls suck. I prefer it the other way around, but we can't have everything. frown

Crazy week.

It was good to be home for a few days and to see family and friends, and even better to be back in school. My classes rock and things are good.

I have friends in New Orleans, and life is not so good for them. They were evacuated, but still, things will not be the same. For everyone else still there, it seems...

So it's my birthday.... I am 24 now. OLD! Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes though, it made my day. It's actually the 6th right now cuz Japan is ahead on time, and I went out with a teacher I used to work with, his family, and two of my friends here in Sapporo. The teacher got hammered and proceeded to drunkenly insult both...

Anyone like Neil Gaiman? He's a kick ass fantasy writer, and he has a movie coming out in the fall called Mirror Mask, check out the trailer, it rocks.

So I took a weekend trip to the town I used to live in when I was in Japan last time, good times. Old friends and a lot of booze. Saw a Japanese punk/hardcore show...

I celebrated the 4th of July by drinking with a Canadian, a Russian, and a Japanese friend of mine. There were no fireworks, no hotdogs, no American flags being sold by impoverished people near the local field where everyone gathers to watch said fireworks... and I am okay with that.

In other news, I feel like a 4th grader in love right now. This girl...

Wow, first bar fight I have ever seen in Japan...

This society is pretty non-violent, quite a transition from the culture that gave us bushido, Pearl Harbor, extremely violent anime... but in reality, most Japanese people are loathe to fight.

Add alcohol to any equation and the rules change I guess.

Some friends and I were at a club in Sapporo last night and I...

Gods bless wireless. Some kind soul in the near vicinity has provided me with an unsecured wireless connection. Now I can access the internet once again from the comfort of my own laptop, and apartment for that matter.

So Japan is great, I have no complaints thus far. Sapporo is a fun city, and I have always wanted to take the subway to work!

My...

Back in Japan....

The kid was broke.
Not broke in the 'get the jaws of life' sense,
But in the 'shit, call an ambulance' sense.
I'm faded already.
Old friends, strong drink,
A disorienting subway ride home,
And a kid on a moto gets smashed.
I take his shoe off and
His leg is broke, but he's fine.

Lucky kid, roadkill everywhere is jealous.
Good...

to answer your question about the awesome movie I saw: It 's about a crazy Brit DJ in Ibiza that parties so much (ie: drinking, massive amouts of cocaineand constant loud music) that he goes completly deaf and loses his mind. It's devastating yet hilarious and I would say that if you were ever in the rave scene you'd love it, but I saw it with my mother who's and old fart and she thought it was great. Check out IMDB and enter the title for more info miao!!

So cool that you're back in Japan. I'm tres jealous tongue I'll post somethin' soon, just been rather busy.

Leeeavin.... on a jet plane.....

I'm off to the airport in about 15 minutes. For some reason, it doesn't feel like I am leaving the country again. Last time I went, it was a little more nerve-racking. 9 weeks isn't all that long though I suppose, and I am going to live in Sapporo. I mean, they named a beer after this city, it's so...
