Back in Japan....
The kid was broke.
Not broke in the 'get the jaws of life' sense,
But in the 'shit, call an ambulance' sense.
I'm faded already.
Old friends, strong drink,
A disorienting subway ride home,
And a kid on a moto gets smashed.
I take his shoe off and
His leg is broke, but he's fine.
Lucky kid, roadkill everywhere is jealous.
Good samaritan, I walk home.
The wrong way.
Rock out with your cock out, moron.
Revisit the sirens...
Opposite side of the street,
Cuz pride shines at odd times.
Shit, I live around here right?
Hope so, cuz it's a nice bed,
If it's not mine I write from now.
Can she see me now?
Drunk in Sapporo.
I don't even know who she is,
But she watches now and future,
Probably the past too.
My paranoia demands it.
As my ears ring,
I hear her sing along to the tune
I don't get to witness.
It's good though,
A favorite.
And the kid is alright.
Sapporo is as I left it.
In my head, on pause, hit play.
The god-wannabe allowing life to resume.
Good thing I made it home
To tell the story.
I vent my fears with friends,
And they evaporate into my ambitions,
I get off my high horse
And realize,
Damn Glad I am not a J-kid
On a motorcycle tonight.
Did the next Van Gogh
Just get run down by a Toyota?
I doubt it.
Taking each step like you meant to,
Isn't such a bad thing.
Oyasumi (Goodnight)

So I wrote that before I passed out last night, after drinking, getting lost after the subway, and seeing some kid on a motorcycle get hit by a car. My first night back in Japan was a memorable one. I saw friends I doubted i'd ever see again, and we drank hard to the occasion. Everything is good, I think I am getting settled. I only have internet access at my office, which I share with other researchers, so I can't look at any pic sets... so I guess I am just paying for the community aspect for a while... oh well!

to answer your question about the awesome movie I saw: It 's about a crazy Brit DJ in Ibiza that parties so much (ie: drinking, massive amouts of cocaineand constant loud music) that he goes completly deaf and loses his mind. It's devastating yet hilarious and I would say that if you were ever in the rave scene you'd love it, but I saw it with my mother who's and old fart and she thought it was great. Check out IMDB and enter the title for more info
