Okay, that was a bogus post, I was distracted on Sunday, so now I'll try to do a better one.
The thing I really liked about Vegas was the Blue Man Group show and the amazing food. We got some fabulous Italian food at a place off the strip and then at Enoteca San Marcos, a place started by Mario Batali (of Iron Chef America fame). And although I've never been to Italy, it was just like I'd imagine a restaurant in Italy would be like, so I was loving every minute of it. The Blue Man Group show was hysterical--who knew you could make a great show based on paint, PVC percussion instruments, and social expectations?
I didn't even miss turkey or cooking (it's hard to miss turkey when you're chowing down on some fabulous steaks and crab), although I don't expect we'll do a vacation over T-giving again soon.
Now we're back to reality--work is completely overwhelming and I've got a shitload of glazing to do and although the tree went up pretty well, there's still a ton of decorations and cleaning to do here at home. Ah, well, life can't be all neon and good food.
