Well, I think my days as a broke graduate student may be over. I just had an interview with the Seattle Public Library for a systems analyst position.
The interview was intense (two hours long being question by a panel of four people), but I think I made a very good impression on them. I think my chances of getting the job is 50/50.
I bought a cheap webcam a couple of days ago. I've been playing with it, showing my black ass over the internet and having fun.
Classes start up for me on monday after 3 months of having a "break" from grad school. I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous about the spring quarter, going back into academia after quacking up and not giving a... Read More
I think I saw Scylla at the aurafice cafe two days ago. I kept on staring at her and trying to figure out how I recongnize her. Then I went I the site that read on her journal that we was stopping by in Seattle. Damn, I should of at least said hello at the time.
I hate "Friends". Damn lower east side yuppies with thier perpetual "X number of episodes left". There's been five final episodes left of the series for the last 3 months!!! Just end the damn thing already!! Showing "The West Wing" is the only thing that keep NBC from having my full rage.
The girl that I've been seeing for the past months has decided to end it. I knew that it was going to happen eventually, considering that she was moving to NYC next month and our relationship was more physical than emotional. But I didn't realize that it would end so soon, so ubruptly, and that it would hurt some much. Where are the 4:00 AM... Read More
You know, I would love to be in a relationship with a women like the one that was first with the Tom Cruise character in "Jerry Mcguire". You know, the blondge corporate vamp who shouts "DONT STOP FUCKING ME!!!" in one of the early scenes, and later knocks him out and calls him a loser when he get's fired.
You know, a couple of days ago I was watching a movie on VH1 to celebrate black history month. You know what movie VH1, the self appointed stewards of African American historic reflection showed that day? Bevery Hill Cop. Wow.
Of course I watched it, I loved BHC, but I wonder how VH1 can show that movie, and say it's to celebrate black history month... Read More
Its nice to see that as a society we are moving away from skin color, lets not forget our heritage though. I've very proud to be native american myself. I can see this in kent WA. My friend and co-worker Gabriel (yes he is black) and I joke and have a damn good time. My customer/friend Tom S. teaches me aboot the 761(black panther tank devision) and the triple nickle (555 black paratroopers), as well as G.W.Carver-I grew up in a garden and he is on my hero list. I just want to see more appriciation for people and their accomplishments, not skin color. Bad things happen. My tribe was destroyed in 1807. But nowadays we (humans) have such unity it is mindblowing. I am proud of my ancestors, but I am more concerned with the future. I hope I dont sound ignorant, sorry if I do.
Ahh, I'm feeling alot better now after the 48 hours of bloatage . In the end, nature just catch up to me and eased my suffering.
I got my first job rejection letter today. I knew that the outcome would be this, I wasn't contact for an interview and it was two weeks after I applied, but it still stings. I'm used to always having... Read More
