i had to fill out an IDP (individual development plan) at work. it basically has you list your goals (personal and professional) and steps you can take to acheive those goals. seemed very corporate which of course made me bitter. whatever. i had to fill it out anyway. what i came up with was the fact that my goals (personal and professional) have absolutely nothing to do with my job (which i've been at for the past 6 years).
but my job is safe which means i'll stay at it until it's pryed from my clenched fist.
if you had zero responsibility and unlimited resources, where would you be tomorrow and what would you be doing?

That was a very good idea about lots of small things - I shall use that on the next celebration occasion

I would be sitting in a little Absinth bar in Berlin searching for the green fairy. Stacks of maps on my table plotting my next journey to another far away land, like Paris. I would make sure to end up in Scandinavia in spring to see the most beautiful women on the planet emerge from a long winter. Then i would return south to Italy and Spain to finish out the summer staring at olive skin goddesses.
