i went "job hunting" on friday, which means i went to two places and applied, then got frustrated and gave up. i HATE not having a job. i was just thinking when i woke up this morning that i'm not going to have enough money to pay my rent on time for june. i'm scared. but luckily i have a little bit of a grace period so i if i get a job soon, i'll be able to pay it with my first paycheck (because i have about half of it already, i just need the other half). i have until june 15th before i pay a 4% late fee and get on bad terms with my rental company.
so from the two applications i submitted on friday for front desk jobs at hotels, i got two interviews. i'd say that's pretty frickin' decent, wouldn't you? one of them is for an EconoLodge - i saw it and was like "eh, it can't hurt to apply." watch it be the job i do for the summer, and maybe during next school year - cause i'ma need a 2nd job for shizzle.
i am going job hunting again with my friend jane today. i want to apply at more hotels and possibly other places. maybe home depot. but then again, home depot is kinda sketchy. they hire people for three months at a time, calling it a "trial employment opportunity" or something like that, and at the end of your three months you get reviewed. most people don't get to work there longer than that because they don't "pass the review." home depot sucks and they don't wanna give out bennies, and they can do that because they tell people ahead of time about the three-month thing. my friend jen worked there and somehow managed to keep her job after the three months. but eventually they fired her for a really stupid reason. oh well. we'll see...
i just need a job. preferably not something with nights. but who knows. eventually i'll get desperate and do anything for a little cash. except eat haggis, i'll never eat haggis.
