Well, for a brief while things were starting to get a little more interesting around here, but it's digressed back in to the usual AFI/emo/Radiohead/whatever-the-fuck-is-the-flavor-of-the-week bullshit so I'm taking a much needed break from the boards.

So the road trip gets a 4 on the 1-10. More driving involved than actual hedonism... but then again it wasn't my band.
Almost bought the farm coming back home driving through a burly fuckin' sleet storm just outside of Flagstaff, AZ in the wee hours of the AM. Was ecstatic when I finally saw the lights of sin city come in to view.

Just got off the phone with my brother and he told me that my little 12 year old cousin got his index finger chopped off last Saturday in some bizarre automatic-gate-closing fiasco. Now the little guy's going around braggin' at school about it like it's some badge of honor.

Gettin' pretty bored with the boards... the novelty is definitely wearing off.
Just as well, since activity is really picking up with my band and the local scene here. The boards are a great place to vent and kill time, but nothing beats the endless debauchery and in-the-flesh drama awaiting my participation in a town where the bars never close and the music never stops.

Yeah, I gotta say, the Replacements are one of the bands I truly regret not being around to see live. I remember reading a story about when they played "Within Your Reach" to a bunch of hardcore punk kids and won them over with it... Paul Westerberg is a fucking BRILLIANT songwriter, and he definitely wasn't limited... they mixed up the loud and soft songs better than any band I've ever heard, pretty much.

Well I guess it's about time I got this damn journal started. This site is absolutely the best. Interesting message boards that I have a hard time walking away from... and oh yes! Beautiful, intelligent, dangerous girls, oh my! I don't know who started SG, but you have done the world a tremendous service!
