Sooo it's the 4th of July, and really I don't care. Its not that I have issues with The United States and what it means, or I should say meant.... I don't like to get to political here, but since it's the day we talk about the Birth of our Nation let me state for the record... My name is Eric and I was a...

I have had more time to let the new records by Turbonegro and The Hellacopters sink in and this time around its the Turbonegro entry that is the better of the two. Its got and accessible glam pop sheen that works well. Of course its also the record where they dont have a US release lined up, and its their one record to date that...

quick reviews...

Hellacopters; Rock + Roll is Dead: sounds like more By the Grace of God type 70's rock, only without as many strong songs.

Turbonegro: Party Animals... See the Hellacopters review, only is Scandinavian Leather type stuff not By The Grace of God stuff

Epoxies: Stop the Future- I like it, but it's on the noisy side and really needs more pop to gather...

Grace of God took me awhile to get into.
After several listens, I think "Carry Me Home" is one of the greatest rock songs ever...the lyrics however, are kinda questionable.

Scandinavian Leather kinda bummed me out. Still can't get into it really.

For the last couple of weeks have been reading a lot of crime novels. It started when I read about a new book by George Pelecanos who is a writer for The Wire which is one of the best shows ever to appear on TV. I picked up a couple of his book and did some research on him. Having read a half dozen or...

if i remember right... i think it was you...
when we met at sarah's that one time, you mentioned a collection of short stories based around george romero's zombie "universe?"

was that you? are my details right? if so, what was that book...

also, by the way, The Wire.... such a fucking awesome show. i've only seen the first two seasons... i think overall i like the first season, but the tragedy arc of the second one is epic. that shot of frank sobatka walking to his death at the end of that one episode, just amazing.

Its hard to write these entries some times. I dont really know just what to say and what to forget. I have the first line of a song running through my head All alone now, except for the memories and I know where its from, but not why its in my head. I havent been listening to that tune for a long time, I just...
