Isn't it a Great Day for Not Being Dead? I ask you.
The helicopter overhead reminds me of the time the media swarmed my mom's house after the shooting at Phil Spector's. Unbeknownst to us before that, he had been our neighbor for years. Imagine.
This one is a shooting too, according to the conductor ... although I don't think they announced it to everyone else. They weren't planning to let us out at the E-ville station at first because the whole building had been taped off and was swarming with cops and news vans. They later decided it would be safe enough to leave us at a spot further north of the depot, though, and D met up with me there so we could bike back together.
Weird week for train commuting. Just a head's up, East Bay.
P.S. It was a 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood. Near 66th and San Leandro. There's no trace of it left today.
P.P.S. In other news, one of my classmates said I was cooler than a rockstar. I thought that was kinda neat.

Can I ask a question? I have a job interview coming up in San Jose - My wife and I might move to the bay area. Is it possible to find a decent place to live that won't cost a fortune that is between Oakland and San Jose? I mean, where would a rock star like yourself live?
