Hello again, starting to feel a bit complacent again, got lots of thing that I would like to do art wise but just not got any motivation to do it. Last thing I did was a 3d model of a dress for one of the characters in my proposed animation it turned out ok (pic is in my pics 3d section) I've got a hell of a lot of drawing to do before I can even think about making 3d models from them and a hell of a lot more before I can even get anywhere near animating it all. I think at the moment I'm about 90% clear about what the story will be but I dont have a clue what style I want it to be in. Its going to be a Sci-Fi series of additionaly just a single part but in theory three if it goes wel, Its about the crew of a spaceship which is involved in a interplanetary war and basically they fight a battle some get captured, then a rescue mission followed by a crash landing and discovery of a alien race. Thats the very brief synopsis of it. The problem is I want it be fairly serious and violent but I think like any animation/film it needs to have some humour in there and I dont have a clue how to bring that in. The three choices for style are a manga style version with swords and robots, a traditional sci-fi with lasers and aliens or an amalgamation of the two whichever way it turns out I'm only going to go for a psuedo realistic look, enough that you can tell that the main characters are humans but not so much as to have individual hairs, realistic skin etc, the environments however will look more realistic. I'm not sure how it will all balance out but the level of detail I want is going to mean that I need to spend nearly all my spare time on doing it if I want it to turn out good.
I think I'll have to start by becoming generally a lot more organised, both in how I do thing and how I manage my time. I'm not holding too much hope for it at the moment though as the last thing I want to do after I've been working all day is to work all evening on something else, I'll just need to find out a way to work around that as I need the money to be able to get the books etc that I need to learn the skills to do it all. Meh enough rambling about what Im wanting to do, Im just lacking something at the moment, dont really know what but I feel like this all the time so I guess I'll find out sometime what Im looking for.

you can't put of 'figuring out what you want to do' with something regarding art. just go do it. if it turns out shit, keep working on it, or start over. it's the only way to excell and get to where you want to be.
