I have a huge phobia of dentists. I attempted to go to one to get some long-overdue work done and I had a bit of a panic attack (which I warned him could happen when I had my initial check-up with him). I told him that I just needed a few mins to calm down and we could try again and he reacted very badly. I don't understand what happened since we discussed my anxiety issues at length and he told me it would be no problem for him. He got up and walked out, then came back later and asked me to leave and told me he would not work on me. He was extremely rude and mean to me, so now I am gun-shy of dentists all over again AND I need to get the work done.
So... can anyone tell me of a good, patient, understanding dentist in the south bay area - northern California (I will travel a bit for this)? I'd prefer someone who takes Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Delta Detal, BUT I am also willing to do this without insurance. I am especially interested in finding a female dentist, but I will not say no to a male dentist with a great "dentist chair manner".
Please help me.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Holly crap about that Prom thing. I think that is such a bad business move. This site is more of a SF vibe than a Vegas vibe. I mean I'll prolly go but shit I would go to both, much more happy to go to SF though.
