My fondness for trvia helped me win 2 tickets to see Rainer Maria on Sunday night at the Bluebird. Now I just need to get someone to cover my shift that night.
I didn't get the job I posted about last. That means I've been passed up for that position twice now in the last eight months. The odd thing is I was much closer to getting it the first time then I was this week. You figure that one out.
I had another interview yesterday. The interview went well, but I can't help feeling that my phone interview was ten times better then the inperson interview. I overthought my answers, and avoided certain topics in my responses. I've been looking for a job without success for so long now that I am starting to doubt myself. Instead of just sticking to what I know and trying to convince them that ankiel66 is who they want for the position I started to play to an idea in my head of what they are looking for.
I've also been so dissapointed with my constant denials that today I am almost in preparation for failure, or, the phone call telling me I didn't get it.
Obviously, that's not a very healthy mindset to be in.
Back to music:
I saw Wolf Parade on Monday. It was a very good show, the crowd really dug it.
I met Shooter Jennings on Wednesday night. He's much shorter and much skinnier then I thought he would be. He's a nice guy though. I didn't see any of his set. I watched the opener Blackberry Smoke, I also saw them do their soundcheck, and they played a great song then which made me reasonably excited for their set. Well, they didn't play that song, and nothing else really compared to it. After their set I took a cab to meet emogoddess at the tattoo shop so I could drive her home. She was getting her backpiece started.
Tonight I am seeing a Cat Power solo show. I'm pretty stoked about it to say the least.
The new M. Ward and Outkast albums are both very good.
Certain tracks on Outkast's Idlewild make me wanna fuck.

I would love to go, but I don't think that my 30days off starts until the 15th of Dec.. I also got a good idea from Hugo about going to Big Day Out in Aurstralia, but it isn't until late Jan early Feb... that would have been fun too because I know a couple of people out there in the outback.
