What a weekend! Friday morning I worked from 5:30am-1:30pm. During that time emogoddess left for a weekend course in Crestone. While at work I picked up the back up or on call shift for that evening. It runs from 4pm-9am.
Just before 8am on Saturday I wake up to my phone ringing. It was work, I was being called in. Now, the worst part of this is that I had errands to run before noon that day. Now I was going to be at work until noon(I make bank when I called in, so I'm not really complaining). One of my tasks was to go to the bank and get quarters to do laundry, but alas= the bank was closed by the time I got there on Saturday.
I went home and crashed hard for a few hours. Then I met up with RockZombie and his neighbor Sayla at Coors Field. I was standing in front of the section he was in talking to him on the phone trying to find him. He didn't even recognize me at first then he said, "Oh wow, you cut your hair!" But he still wouldn't tell me where he was. So I started rubbing the crotch of my pants in front of the section saying things like, "Oh yah? Well, what I am doing now?"
The Rockies won 5-1, with Jeff Francis picking up the victory. Highlights of the game include: Rick asking me what I would use for my music as I came up to bat if I was an MLB player. My response of, "That's a tough one, I'd go with either don't fear the reaper, or it's raining men." Brought laughter not only from my compadres, but from the guy in front of us who pretty much lost it.
We left the game, and made it to the 2nd annual SGCO Party At the House of the Round Couch! I love that SGCO crew. It was great to see everyone. There were several mentions of OBrien and Trevor. It just wasn't the same wtithout them there.
Since I was coming back down to Denver the next day for the Rockies game I decided I couldn't crash at the party, otherwise my cats would never get fed. So around 1 I left for home. Unfortunately after I left there was nudity at the party! Bastards!
The following day RockZombie, Sayla, and myself met up and went back to Coors Field. $4 seats are the greatest invention ever. The funny thing, is that a beer costs more then $4 there.
The Rox won 5-3 to complete their sweep of the Blue Jays, and they currently sit in 1st place with a half game lead over the rest of the NL West.
After the game we went to Virgin Records, and I picked up the Wilco DVD that I have been meaning to get for so long. They had it on sale this week, and it was more then $10 less then I have seen it anywhere else.
Some laundry did get done. I put away the flannel sheet set, and put on something more seasonal. I watched game 7 of the 1982 World Series. Best Games in Busch Stadium History
emogoddess comes home sometime tonight. I can't wait!
