holy shit. i never realized how much a valium, a bath, and ten hours of sleep could change your outlook on life. i'm happy. 
also, at the mates of state show (which was oh-so-good, i bought a 7" with them doing "these days" and dear nora doing "girl from the northern country". i've listened to each side over and over and over until i had so many goosebumps, i looked like a plucked chicken . especially the dear nora track, i just think about the devotion and tender sincerity in her voice and what she must be thinking and who the lucky devil is that has won her heart and made her sing like this...and the fact that, like most men, he won't know how lucky he is.
