So, just got my cert as a CPT-EFS. Certified Personal Trainer-Exercise Fitness Specialist. Have been going to interviews at a couple big clubs and am feeling like this is not what I want. I got into getting certified because of the impact HIIT and BootCamp workouts have had on me. More strength, energy and endurance, important for guys like me over 40. The program I went into was a University sponsored, science/biomechanics based program. Yesterday I had a great interview with a former fellow member of the Fit Body Boot Camp I used to go to. I left because the owner fired all my favorite trainers in a paranoia purge. Her top pic for trainers is a guy I take classes with at Orange Theory. I like the workout but it can be a bit scripted, no nonsense and I'm kind of a nonsense oriented guy which is why I went to talk to her. Talk went well but she's not opening her doors until April. I can wait tho. I am not the push-push sell $600 PT packages at places like LAF or EQX. I loved the group camaraderie at FBBC, not the politics. I may look into getting a few clients on my own but that biz start up takes some doing and headaches. We'll see what happens.
