This is a rough week, but I'll muddle through. Dealing with a heavy dose of mortality right now. A dear, sweet friend who I lost touch with in college, and reconnected back with some years ago has lost his fight to a relapse of cancer. He put up a heroic struggle through chemo, but it wasn't enough. He passed at the still to young age of 48. He touched many people, and I would say some he touched more than a few times...He struggled with the demons of drug addiction and divorce and sexual identity but on the inside he had a heart of gold that belied his snarky sarcastic quick witted outside. He had just found himself and who he was and started to become comfortable with himself. Life isn't really fair sometimes. Go out and live. . Tears come back as all the memories from 20+ years ago come running back. Sometimes it takes someone you know to teach you the things you've already learned and forgotten. Go, live, breathe, love, fuck, fight, forgive,it's what Cas would want.

I'm very sorry to hear that. It sounds like he was still able to touch lives after he passed. Mark of a really wonderful soul. My condolences.

Yeah it sucks, but he was always a proponent of the white light theory- that you send love and white light up into the universe where it gets stored in little boxes for those who need it and draw from as well.
