I lied about being an electrician, well I have a theory exam in 3 weeks and then I'll be a registered electrician. (Last year apprentice)
I'm making the move to Western Australia to work in the mines, hardly the first kiwi to come up with the idea as most Aussies in Perth will know. That's assuming I pass my exam and can get over my anxiety of being afraid to follow through on all the steps required to get the job. Always been in the shadows and gotten by on knowing somebody or waiting on that familiarity before taking risks. This time round I won't know anybody or have any contacts to get a foot in the door but I guess life would be unfulfilling if the yucky stuff didn't exist.
Hopefully I'll be at the beach one day in Perth when I'm off roster and be chuffed that I made it happen (aka was finally able to grow a pair)
