I'd be lying if I said everything is wonderful, but I do feel better.
Things I like:
Green tea - I just finished drinking a large pot. mmmm, warm.
Honey - Does the production of said substance really harm the bees? Can any of my vegan friends enlighten me?
Beverly Hills 90210 - I didn't watch this the first time around, but now it's on every afternoon. I've been recording it and watching it in the mornings. It goes well with the tea. Early 90's fashion >>>
Caramel Apples with toffee bits or rainbow chips - Lord H surprised me with one last night. He also bought me the newest season of Gilmore Girls.
Well-spoken art school instructors - I modeled for an evening class last night. It was a not for credit course. These are the ones where the students all want to be there. We finished with the poses 30 minutes early and the instructor just talked about why he loved drawing. When he graduated in 1980, one couldn't get a degree in drawing. It wasn't considered "art", just a part of the process to get to the "art". It was lovely to sit on the model stand and listen to someone so eloquent. I love it when you can get a glimpse into the "why" of a person.
Baking - I'm making cupcakes on Saturday so today I'm paging through my cookbooks, hoping to find the perfect recipe. If I bake for you, it's because I like you.
Running - If you know me, this isn't a surprise. Nothing depresses me more than stagnancy. Or feeling trapped. When I run, the cage isn't there; I can't be caught; I'm free.
Peshy, Buddyroo and Indy - Cat, cat, dog for those of you who don't know. Buddyroo sleeps beside me every night. Peshy often sleeps beside me on the couch in the afternoons (he's a nut during the night). I'm hard pressed to think of anything that makes me feel more appreciated than how excited Indy is when I get home.
Really fucking depressing music - Bring it on. Deep down, I'm quite the emotional vampire. Ok, maybe it's not even that deep.
Sickeningly happy music - Everything has it's time, right? I'm of the opinion that it is impossible to be sad while one listens to "Pop Goes the World". Any disagreement?
Drunken, emotionally raw conversations with the few people who are still around at the end of a party - If you read this, I'm talking about you AC and HK. Just... wow. I'd love to have a repeat. I'm sure we all have more to add to our stories. Nights like that make me fall in love a little.
Parties where I can dress like a school girl and kidnap danny_g. I'll try to get a picture. This also involved a giant pillow fight with 7 girls in their plaid skirts and bras. Good times.
Weddings populated with theatre people - Never have I seen that much grinding on the dance floor. Masquerade throws one hell of a party.
Sleep - I really like sleep. Please brain, shut down for a bit so I can get some? Or at least keep it down a bit.
Rehearsal - I've never enjoyed rehearsal as much as I am for this current production. Thank you to all involved. And TM, you give fabulous back massages. How you doin'?
All my SG friends -
Things I'm not entirely pleased with:
My ridiculously messy house, which I now have to do something about.
I'll leave you with this picture of some cupcakes I made for Canada day. Thanks to Lavonne for taking it. (The chocolate ones were even vegan!)

When are you guys going to come back to Seattle, anyway? A local restaurant here has one hell of a great iced green tea drink. Isn't that enough to get you and the Lord to drive 13 hours?

Umm, is there anyone who wouldn't like that?
