So it felt pretty good to be back home after being abroad for a week, especially since I was going on vacation in a week. After being in a large city I was really looking forward to heading to the wilderness and quaint little towns of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
The main event of vacation was the Fall U.P. Beer Festival in Marquette, tried some really good beers and a few not so great beers. We did a little hiking in some favorite spots and enjoyed a shipwreck boat tour on Lake Superior, which was pretty choppy that day with 5 foot waves.
We stopped a few breweries while we were out seeing the sightseeing, Black Rocks in Marquette was very good, Ore Dock was a let down.
It was a really nice vacation and felt great just wondering around and exploring with Katie, we had a fantastic time.
