It was a pretty good one. Got three stars out of five. Clarion Review. I think they're an Indie book outfit. But I'm not going to post it here. Enuf's enuf.
Lessons learned: 1) Didn't get a rave review. 2) Kirkus, which has the biggest clout, gave me the worst and most conservative, least enlightened review. 3) I'm only paying any attention to these reviews...

Yeah, it's a bad one.
The question is, is it bad enough?
Something like "[Otorongo is] a vehicle for sex scenes, described every which way and involving every imaginable orifice."
How 'bout "...copious amounts of sex."
I like the way "Third Chakra" is in quotation marks. I don't remember putting it in quotation marks. Anybody know what your Third Chakra is? Is it

Have to admit, despite having had no success yet, I'm enjoying playing with promoting Otorongo. I've never tried to sell anything before in my whole fucking life. But the main thing is I just love interacting with the fantasy world of Jim and Linsa.
Here's a possible cover blurb from the Blueink review.

So the first review of Otorongo is in. Gotta have something to put on the cover, which seems strangely and somewhat pathetically bare, lacking any reviews.
"Bizarre, intensely erotic spiritual journey" seems okay.
I also like "...humor, philosophy, spirituality, and darkness weave through the mostly sex-driven story."
It's certainly all about sex, but the hard part is categorizing the book, which has all of

Pretty simple. Have someone read Otorongo. Have them say they liked it. Have them say they thought it was good.
Hasn't happened yet. Wonder if it ever will?

Stayed in this luxurious house.

One for each copy of Otorongo I placed in a bookstore in the last two days!
First there was Adobe Books on 24th Street in San Francisco, referred there by a friendly soul in Dog Eared Books on Valencia, after she gave me the getting familiar "We don't do that well with erotica," brushoff. "But...you might try Adobe Books on 24th."
Voila! In I walk

Kind of been obsessing over Otorongo for the last few months. Guess what? As far as I'm aware, nobody has actually read it yet? That's okay.
Switch to the hugel mound in my back yard that nobody knows about but me.
Guess what? I'm not smokin' pot anymore! Those are San Pedro cacti growing under the MJ canopy.
They're tall and lanky. Shade grown. Not

What will be Otorongo's fate? How much interest is there in sex in the spirit world? So far it appears not much, but in fairness to myself and iUniverse, it's too early to tell. The $13,500 I've invested in promoting it hasn't had time to kick in yet. The next event I'm anticipating is the three professional reviews that have been purchased. Hoping for something

My first rule would be that nobody had to do what I told them to do, which would make the next two rules unnecessary.
Kids raised under this philosophy. Fortunately they had a mother too.
