Hello all! I hope that everyone had a good break from work and school this weekend. I myself went to Niagara Falls with some high school friends for a birthday party. Drunken mania ensued.
This is the lovely view from my room at the Hilton.
I went to the Fallsview Casino with twenty dollars and every intention of just putting it into a slot machine and saying goodbye to it forever, but to my shock and amazement, I actually got on somewhat of a winning streak for the first time in my life. I need to qualify that I NEVER win when I gamble. Slots, cards, roulette, lottery, or scratch-and-wins are all just a hole that I throw my money into and never get anything in return, so I was quite thrilled with myself when I won. Mind you, it was only a fifty-six dollar return, but everyone has to start somewhere right?
Finally, if you have a couple of minutes, take a look at this video. It's a band from my hometown called Walk off the Earth featuring the beautiful and talented Sarah Blackwood from The Creepshow, covering a song by the Australian artist Gotye called "Somebody That I Used to Know" - I think it's pretty fantastic.
Cheers
