I've come to the realization, that I may be entirely too open.
I will answer any question and not be embarassed. I will talk about anything. And it's getting me in trouble. This kid at work was talking about his sex life and asked me some questions. I had to refuse to answer some; not because I felt they were none of his business, but because I'm his boss and that would be inappropriate. And it struck me that if it weren't in a work situation, that kid I know only from work, would know nasty things about my sex life. Pretty much the only time I won't answer a question is if it incriminates someone else (like Ray gets embarassed if I talk about our sex life) or if the conversation is inappropriate at the moment (like at work or church).
I took a survey for a friend's college paper on sexuality that was completely anonymous. But you could leave your information in case they wanted to interview you further. I left mine.
I know I get it from my parents. They're WAY too open. But I'm not sure where they got it. My dad's parents are prudes. My mom's parents are pervs but they're cautious about personal information. When I did a paper in my family/marital studies class about the correlation of when women lose their virginity compared to their mothers, my mom was very helpful. Gramma Sharon still claims to be a virgin. When asked about how her 5 children came to be, she said, "Immaculate fucking conception!" and that was the end of the conversation.
Weird how similar and yet how different we are from previous generations.

squareroot:
The good thing about being too open is that you don't really have any embarrassing secrets.
