So any plans of having a crafty night flew out the window this month. Works went to hell in a hand basket, the weather sucked, hospital & dentist bills appeared out of nowhere and the cherry on top was having a pipe in our family room ceiling burst. We've been watching tv & eating dinner in bed lately as our downstairs is pretty torn up....

Crafting sounds like a good idea, particularly with the crap frown

I'd join in on the crafting day, but I still don't know where I packed my jewelry making stuff when I moved in October, and I don't feel like digging through stuff right now.

Happy Holidays! kiss

I'm being a total bum today! Yesterday I hit the jackpot at 3 different thrift stores, and fought the crazy lady crowd at Joann's. Once I got home, it became apparent that I'd be spending the rest of the day doing laundry. Been doing the indoor line drying with good results thanks to the riduclously priced Peg's Handyline. My goal is use the dryer as...

I hear ya - this weekend I too have spent more then 90% of my time in PJs. Just been crafting and feeling crappy about Christmas (it's true, so many are cancelling it this year.) this economy is simply bringing our national morale down the pooper. We are going to try to make the best of it, though, and do what we can and just bring our smiles and our small & handmade gifts wherever we go. I think if more people found the spirit of the season (god how corny) and just did their best and smiled through it, that we all may feel a little better about life.

I am excited about the thought of an SGOmaha Ladies Craft Night. smile Maybe we can have something that rivals the great Silver Bella - or at least make a grand attempt! smile biggrin

Ya know I just found out about it too and thought that I was living under a rock - kinda glad at least you were under there with me. wink

Yea this weekend is my bday weekend so no go there (not that i have plans but still)
next weekend friday i am free (hopefully not OT at work) saturday i am free during the day, my boyfriend is singing a small part in a friends' band that night at mckennas so if we want to do a daytime saturday thing, then have the concert as an option (http://www.davishurley.com) that would be ok, too.

I really need to update more often, though I'd much rather read about other people, than talk about myself.

It was a lovely summer! We went on a lot of great rides and took in the countryside. Met a lot of great folks through Breeze Cycle too.

Fall saw the death of my beloved VW due to a silly little girl who "didn't notice that...

Ahh, Slow Food. It is a movement back towards traditional ways of growing, preparing, and enjoying foods. No fast food, no preservatives, no additives. I actually started a SG group for it smile

Basically, it boils down to slowing down and enjoying life.

Asian coleslaw....still figuring that one out.

Working my way through a pineapple cherry dump cake. Lovely how the best parts of your childhood can fit onto a spoon. My time machine fits nicely in the dishwasher, thankyouverymuch.

New sewing table arrived today, so I'm stoked to check that out. Tomorrow I have a new dinnertime challenge to tackle.

Steady flow of new bodies filing into...

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck I did so much shit today!

The powers that be are once again descending upon my place of work, Monday around noon-thirty. I contemplated going into the office today, to make sure shit is in order, but after running 50 million errands this morning, I thought my time would be better spent nodding off on the couch with Dead Men Talking rattling on in...

Christ on a bike, it's fuckin cold out.

Just finished Love is a Mix Tape....good read, nice flow, sad story with a happy ending. Just my cup of tea.

Speaking of tea, I guess I'll have to brave the cold sooner than later since there isn't much food in the house. Pancakes for dinner tonight wooooohooooo.

Well the shit hit the fan at work. One of the biggest employers in town canned around 380 people, and sent their broken, crushed masses my way for help. So far we've only had a few tears, but who know's that Monday will bring. When in groups, it gets a lot crazier. *cross your fingers for me*

Aside from that it's been business as usual....

I don't know if I'm feelin these morningstar farms veggie bites.....mixed with salsa, it mildly gives off that "I'm gonna fuck your stomach up and make you wish you were dead in about 4 hours, just after you've fallen asleep, so you can wake up with the horrible queezy feeling" vibe

At least it will be food and not stress messing up the natual...

I did everything that I told myself I would do today.

I cleaned my car
washed all of the laundry
changed the bed sheets
ran the vacuum
put away dishes
sorted out the recyclables
mopped the floor in my yoga.crafty.reading.room
put some stuff on ebay
rounded up things for goodwill
bagged up items for the women's shelter

Cleanliness is next to Godliness baby!

love
