I am finally well-rested enough to discuss the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. Many late nights. Much laughing. Shook many, many hands. Too much alcohol. I was also reminded of 4 very universal truths:
1. 200 people in a hotel convention room at 3am who all need to be the center of attention can be very trying.
2. When people "aren't doing it for the money" they'll still find a way to quantify things, usually by who's getting laid that night.
3. Rape jokes are the hallmark of the "alternative" comic.
4. It doesn't matter how many days you planned for, the free liquor will always be gone on the first night.
Also of note, I was also shushed by Janeane Garofalo.
