So I usually have a pretty strong immune system, but I guess with this changing weather and these freak cold days, something got through. I've been coughing since Thursday and had a slight headache (probably from all the coughing), but at least I haven't had to miss work or anything. It's definitely hit many more people, though, like half of my role-playing group. I play tabletop role-playing games, more specifically Dungeons and Dragons and Star Wars: Edge of the Empire, and it was supposed to be EoE night last night, but one guy was too sick to leave the house. So, we all had something, but whatever they've got seems to be hitting them harder than what I've got.
Work, is still work. I've got another year here until I can go to Kosovo, but I feel like it'll crawl by a little faster than this first year did since I've got something to look forward to. Lots of guys are quitting and getting jobs elsewhere, so we've got management getting in trucks for our city routes. We recently hired more guys who can do my current route, which means I'm one step closer to being moved to a city route during the day. I'm not looking forward to dealing with city traffic, but working days instead of nights will really open up how much I can hang out with friends during the week. I just need to make sure I don't take a cut in pay or hours.
Take care, folks.
