Every so often something reminds me that David Caruso is the worst actor on television. Today, it was remembering that a fourth Law & Order series is starting up, which led me to contemplating how much better the L&O franchise is than CSI, even though it's not like L&O is the best programming ever to grace the small screen. It's that when parts are cast in L&O, good actors are selected. I loathe the leaden, stoned sound of Caruso's voice. William Shatner became a terrific actor after decades of very, very slow improvement. Rob Lowe became lovable. Timothy Hutton became elegant and charming. So, can there possibly be any hope for the eventual redemption of television's most dimwitted, egomaniacal carrottop? I think not!

Now, while I'm on the topic of redheads:

So, in other news: It's hard learning to play darts. Anyone who knows me knows that will only make me obsessed with it. I'm going to throw some darts now.

I'm afraid to start juggling again. Five years of my spare time might go down a black hole. I have some "issues."



I seem to have nascent fantasies about Meredith Vieira. This is probably not a good thing. I hope I'll be over it soon.
