Sorry for all those who actually read this, cause I've been quiet last few weeks. Fact is there hasn't been a whole lot to say.
I saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, which was fun, though maybe not quite as good as I had hoped. Also a friend lent me 28 Days Later and Dead Alive (by Peter Jackson, no less) and I'm hoping we can catch Shawn of the Dead this weekend.
I had to buy a new X-Box last week, as the other one was crashing on a regular basis, which on game like Fable it could be quite annoying. Adios $200 (including service plan that I ignored when I bought the first one and a memory card to transfer saves). On the plus side I got X-Men Legends which kinda surprised me because it's actually quite a bit of fun if you like games like Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance.
I spent almost all day yesterday trying to get my computer fixed. In the end I had to do a total format and reinstall everything. Now I have a stiff back and I didn't get enough sleep.
On saturday Joe would have turned 22. On top of this and finding out this morning that Christopher Reeves passed away really just made me feel crappy. Growing up a comic book nerd, Reeves represented the best aspects of comic to movie adaptations. I didn't care for parts of the Superman movies (actually a lot of the movie was silly, imo) but not Reeves. He portrayed himself as a man whom believed he could fly, and that belief was contagious, making you feel that he could the same. This was also part of the reason I was saddened by his death. You see I always felt I would see him walk again. The man's support of spinal paralysis made you feel that a cure was just around the corner. Seeing him go before that goal really hurts.
