I've been lying in bed thinking about clothes and boys, and boys' clothes after reading GQ and falling desperately in lust with almost every editorial model, at least three cashmere jumpers, and one pair of hand made boots. I find men's clothes so extraordinarily appealing, which I guess is the point.

I love well dressed men! I don't mean the style or type of clothing...

Fourth Rate Ode to a First Rate Wit

A courtship begun in clever conversation,
With luscious allusion and literary lubrication,
Leading us to the bedroom in prose,
So I can quip away your clothes.

Smouldering syntax,
Lingering lyrics,
Voluptuous vowels,
Bon mots and badinage my bondage.

Circumlocute, refute,
Shoot rhyming couplets of pulsing prose,
And Ill show you my metaphor.

Thrust your repartee against my...

I know at least one of you is going to tick me off for writing what will soon be a self indugently depressed journal entry, but you can just fuck off and look at all the naked women until I write something more scintillating, so there (boo hiss).

Tonight I ran into a boy I went to school with, (in fact when we were 10...

Went to Townie with brothers and ridiculously good looking flat mate. Am sure brothers, and the two Americans who followed us home want to fuck ridiculously good looking flat mate. Have left them downstairs in lounge room to fight it out while I make drunk post and collapse in bed. Typing while inebriated is more challenging than I had anticipated.

Promise literature later.

(Think both...

Meeting O Again

The way he stood was familiar.

With his arm up, his hand resting on the back of his head, elbow out wide. Id seen him make that gesture before, on the day we met. I was leaving and had turned at someone elses goodbye, to see him watching me, puzzled, arm up, elbow wide.

I wonder if my own gestures are so...

In a strange turn of events I've actually been writing a little non-thesis, non-essay, non-legal but rather mildly fun, pointless fiction lately. Which I haven't done since... well since the last time someone made me.

After some judicious editing I will post some of it here in my journal, which is quite boldly confident behaviour for me. I think I haven't had time to become...

Ok so I've spent the evening with my sore knee wrapped in ice and balanced precariously atop a pile of pillows in an effort to reduce the grapefruit sized swelling down to something vaguely resembling my former knee.

Hobbled as I am I couldn't escape from the evilness that is "Extreme Makeovers" before I was completely entranced. God that show is so offensive but my...

I had a lovely time on Friday on the girls night out with morgannahh and Blacklamb. We went to the Hopetoun and saw morgannahh's friend's band, which was really good and full of eye candy.

I also saw an excellent band this evening. The Handsome Young Strangers, a Newtown 'bush band' who were lots of fun. Ironically enough considering their name the band is five...

I'm stuck in Life's Waiting Room at the moment. Rows of chairs in regimental lines, industrial grade nylon carpet making my hair stand up with static electricity, a faded print of one of Monet's landscapes on the wall, and dog-eared issues of the Women's Weekly from the dying days of the 20th century.

Waiting for the results of: job applications, uni courses, allergy tests, giving...

God, damn, bugger, bollocks, hell.

Despite the apparent Austen-ness of my name I am not easily, nor happily, reconciled with the spinsterish celibate character with which I have been cast.

So dearest Authour of this Divine Comedy, whom-so-ever you may be, could you please try a little less Bronte, and a little more Beardsley as you sketch out the plot for 2006?

(I confess I...

Miss Bikini Model 2005. Oh, the bilious ignominy. I used to live with a particularly inane, coke-afflicted Ralph girl - complete dullard, thank Christ; if she had had a platitudinous IQ on top of those tits, I would have been all the more appalled - who seemed to enjoy mocking my short pallid, lack of photogenic prowess by sauntering around the place, clad in little but a transparent v-string. I'm surprised you slept at all - I needed the parents' auspicious labradoodle's body weight in soporifics just to relax enough to eye off my brothers' sinister tableau of plasticized harem-girls without lapsing into complete hysteria.

No Bronte. I won't bloody have it, unless it's bastardized in Kate Bush form. 2005 was a little Norman Mailer cum Henry Miller for me - this year I'm trying for Stella Gibbons, or at least something vaguely wholesome. Like Graham Greene. Er.

The Great Sydney-Albury-Sydney Odyssey 2006

Highs
- Air-conditioning!
- Overtaking lanes
- Foresight of making 6 hour long playlist for iPod (starring the Buzzcocks, The Donnas, and Regurgitator et.al.)
- Rounding down anything between 115-120km/h to 110km/h.
- As driver I was not a car-sick passenger.
- In fact as had no passengers there was no car-sickness at all.

Lows
- Feeling morally obliged to...

hi hows things?
you will have to tell us when you get the strength of course wink all about your experiences in albury
i went to my first sydney meet up at the marlborough

all in all a highly entertaining evening

nice to see you back posting on sg
tho its terrible you can't get to sleep frown

i used to be an insomniac where i would lie awake just thinking about all the shitty things in the world and still do some nights but now i work fulltime which wears me down sufficiently so that i can usualy get to sleep alright plus i am up on the net til early morning which pretty much makes my bedtime round midnight uhh...
have you tried drinking alcohol?
that usually puts me to sleep
wink
well when you do feel like it i should like to hear all about albury
btw am envious that you went away this summer and i didn't
