its been the strangest day. I got up early and went to the health dept. to have my irritable cervix opened up and a Inner Uterine Device placed in my beautiful, scarred uterus. I stared up at a poster of Janis Joplin hanging above me as the nurse placed a speculum in my extraordinarily long birth canal and parted my cervix. It felt like a labor contraction and i squeaked bloody murder. I looked up at Janis, so dead and wise. She told me to chill out and relax, so i did. I let all tension go and focused on my breathing. When she placed the IUD in me i hardly noticed. She said my body opened up very well. Before she took to speculum out i requested a mirror so i could actually see my insides. I had never seen such beauty. My pretty cervix looked firm and happy. It was so humbleing to view my insides. I loved it.
